Tips To Tapping

​​Tapping Pointers

Use 2 or more fingers to tap each point, and either side of the body (or both) is fine to tap

During the sequence, no need to count taps, just tap while you repeat your Reminder Phrase

The Reminder Phrase should be a brief phrase (ie shoulder pain, mad at Joe, etc)

Just remember to tap down the body, starting at the top of your head and ending under the arm

Be as Specific as possible during your Set Up Statement (Is it a headache or a throbbing pain in your right temple?)

 

Designing Your Set Up Statement:

​The Set Up Statement sets you up for a successful round of The Sequence by identifying the problem specifically

Consider the issue you wish to tap on carefully, and describe it specifically, connect it to everything you feel then

Design a statement you’re comfortable with that will both identify the problem and accept yourself anyway

Insert your chosen issue into a statement formula you are comfortable with: Even though I have this problem, I deeply and completely accept myself. (Italics indicate where you insert your issue)(Bold indicates formula option)

 

Set-Up Statement Examples:

Even though I have this throbbing pain in my right temple, I deeply and completely accept myself.

Although I’m so mad at Joe I could punch his lights out, and my hands are shaking while my heart races, I still love and accept myself.
